Short Summary |
One of a series, this information pack on gender
analysis is intended for use in a training setting and as a basic
guide for the interested reader. Although developed to reflect UNDP's
needs, especially those of country offices' gender focal points, the
pack has been designed to be readily adaptable to different needs
and has wider utility. The four key areas covered by slides and resources
are: the definition and purpose of gender analysis; the information
and action required to link gender analysis with policy and planning;
the key concepts and tools in social and gender analysis; and men
and masculinity in gender analysis. The pack is comprised of three
sections. Section 1 consists of four sets of slides setting out the
key issues and providing links to materials in other sections. Section
2 includes resources such as reading materials, handouts, worksheets,
and examples of analytical frameworks, and section 3 includes references
to the Internet and other resources on related issues. Full-size slides,
which can be used for presentations, are to be found at the back of
the manual. |
