This site offers a statistical overview of the
situation of women and men in Latin America and the Caribbean broken
down by country, disaggregated by sex with comparative overviews of
the whole region. The indicators are quantitative, providing an overview
of the relative situation of women at a given time. Statistics are
available on: population; fertility, household and family; education;
work and income; poverty; health; and participation. Statistical overviews
are also available as they relate to the Millennium Summit Indicators.
