Short Summary Discrimination on the basis of sexuality, race, age, class and ethnicity is present globally; but most forms of discrimination are manifested in local contexts. The Network for Glocal (global and local) Activism (NGA) is an initiative that brings together activists from different types of movements, including ecological and Marxist movements, for example. NGA works within a feminist ideological framework, which they believe is an ideology of change that not only belongs to the women's movement, but is one that should be adopted by other social change movements. NGA's purpose is to connect theories, educations, and movements as well as the diverse localities of Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The starting point of NGA is a School of Feminism (SF) which will play the role of activating Glocal movements through Feminism and be a space for Glocal activists and researchers to meet and learn together. Other activities of the network will include: research centres, forums and campaigns. This website will give voice to the network's aims and initiatives.
