Originally produced by the Training and Research Support Centre as an activity pack for young Zimbabweans aged 13 to 17 years, and later developed as a website, Auntie Stella aims to encourage young people to discuss key teenage issues, and also gives information that teenagers find hard to get elsewhere.

- Gender, HIV and Human Rights: A Training Manual (2000)
This training manual includes both a one-day and a two-day training module, "Gender Concerns in HIV/AIDS and Development", aimed at raising awareness of the gender dimensions of HIV/AIDS. The structure, agenda and methodology of the sessions, training aids and notes for the facilitator are provided. The document is available in English, French and Spanish.

Women for Women's Human Rights (WWHR)-NEW WAYS is an autonomous international non-governmental organization based in Istanbul, Turkey. It was founded right after the UN Human Rights World Conference, held in Vienna in 1993. The aim of WWHR is to work towards the advancement of women's human rights.

Eldis Information Officer
(for Citizenship, Participation and Governance)

1 year fixed term contract, 35 hours each week

As Eldis Information Officer you will develop and manage e-communication strategies, including online resource guides and collaborative research pages in the subject areas of Citizenship, Participation and Governance. This new position forms part of a collaborative initiative between Eldis and three related research and communication programmes coordinated by the Participation Team at IDS.

You will be an experienced information manager, capable of developing and facilitating the e-communication strategies, online resources and collaborative research and information needs. You will have practical skills and experience in the field of information, communication or knowledge management, preferably in relation to citizenship and participation issues in developing countries. Experience in web development, strategy and management; e-mail discussion lists and online newsletters; online resources and database management preferred. Background and interest in issues of citizen participation and governance, and skills in bibliographic research, abstracting, writing and editing in English strongly desired. Competencies in other languages are desirable.

Salary: £17,626 to £19,681.
